Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, using an electric mixer, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter-sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, beating until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
Chill the cookie dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
Make an indentation in the center of each cookie and place a Rolo candy inside.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
