Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Prepare the filling by mixing the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well combined.
Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
Cut the puff pastry into strips approximately 1 inch wide.
Spoon a small amount of the filling along one edge of each strip and fold over to enclose.
Brush each straws with the beaten egg.
Place the prepared straws on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the straws cool slightly before serving.
