Ingredients
  

  • ½ small yellow onion finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic finely chopped or grated
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh sage
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • ½ cup white wine
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups chicken stock or broth
  • 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • optional: ½ teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet Browning and Seasoning
  • Stuffing breadcrumbs from 1 box of stovetop stuffing reserve ½ cup for meatballs
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 egg
  • kosher salt
  • ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. Prep: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and prepare your baking sheet.
  2. Prepare the stuffing: Measure out the stuffing breadcrumbs and prepare according to package instructions.
  3. Cook the aromatics for the meatballs: Sauté the onion, garlic, celery, and herbs.
  4. Mix the meatballs: Combine the breadcrumb mixture with turkey and seasonings.
  5. Form and stuff the turkey meatballs: Create meatballs around reserved stuffing.
  6. Par-bake the Thanksgiving meatballs: Bake in the oven for a short time.
  7. Brown the Thanksgiving meatballs: Sauté the par-baked meatballs until golden.
  8. Prepare the gravy: Create a base using the remaining ingredients.
  9. Serve: Ladle the meatballs with gravy over your favorite side.
