Delicious Sugar Cookies Topped with Hershey Kisses

Ingredients

  • 210 g 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 113 g 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 100 g 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g 1/2 cup granulated sugar, for rolling
  • Hershey Kisses

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until just combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl as needed.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Using a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop dough, roll in granulated sugar, and place on a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake the cookies for 8 minutes, then immediately press a Hershey's Kiss into the center of each cookie.
  • Let cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
