- 4 medium zucchinis, sliced
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the meat. Stir to combine.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the zucchini slices on the bottom.
- Spread half of the meat mixture over the zucchini.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese on top.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining zucchini, meat mixture, and cheese.
- Top with sliced pepperoni.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to customize with your favorite pizza toppings.
- For a vegetarian option, omit the meat and add more vegetables.
