Description

A fun and festive treat perfect for Halloween, these Spooktacular Jack-O’-Lantern Popcorn Balls are made with popcorn, marshmallows, and a touch of orange food coloring to resemble jack-o’-lanterns.


Ingredients

  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon orange food coloring
  • Chocolate chips (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the sugar and corn syrup, stirring until combined.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it boil for 2 minutes without stirring.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and orange food coloring.
  5. Pour the mixture over the popped popcorn and mix until evenly coated.
