Description

The Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich is a classic American sandwich originating from Philadelphia, known for its delicious combination of thinly sliced beefsteak and melted cheese in a hoagie roll.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced onions and bell peppers, sauté until softened.
  3. Add the thinly sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  4. Place slices of provolone cheese on top of the steak and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  5. Toast the hoagie rolls lightly.
  6. Assemble the sandwich by placing the steak and cheese mixture into the hoagie rolls.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For an authentic taste, use Cheez Whiz instead of provolone cheese.
  • Feel free to add mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Serve with a side of fries for a complete meal.
