Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1/2 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and add oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

- Stir in fresh basil and Parmesan cheese, if using.
- Serve your delicious Pasta Napoletana immediately.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- You can add other vegetables like onions or bell peppers to the sauce.
