4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup marinara sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
Sear the chicken breasts for about 5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the chicken.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously on top of the sauced chicken.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
