Hawaiian Banana Bread is a moist and flavorful bread that combines ripe bananas with pineapple for a tropical twist.

- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the mashed bananas, crushed pineapple, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- If using, fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra moisture, you can add a tablespoon of yogurt or sour cream to the batter.
- This bread can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
- It can also be frozen for up to 3 months.
