Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • Butter for cooking

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks and milk together.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with cream of tartar until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the egg whites into the batter until no white streaks remain.
  6. Heat a non-stick skillet over low heat and grease with butter.
  7. Pour a scoop of batter onto the skillet and cover with a lid.
  8. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes.
  9. Serve warm with syrup or toppings of your choice.
