Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture across the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Layer the sliced strawberries evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
- In a separate bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, vanilla extract, and water. Mix until just combined.
- Pour the cake mixture evenly over the layer of strawberries, ensuring that it covers them completely.
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool slightly before cutting into squares. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream if desired.
