  • For the Icing:
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Milk
  • For the Decoration:
  • 1 cup Gummy Worms (Other candies or sprinkles can also be used)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: Combine whole wheat flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Gradually mix in warm milk and melted butter until a cohesive dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled in size.
  3. Make the Filling: Mix brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a small bowl until evenly distributed.
  4. Roll the Dough: Punch down the risen dough, then roll it out on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle. Spread melted butter over the dough and sprinkle evenly with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  5. Shape the Rolls: Tightly roll the dough into a log starting from one edge. Slice into 1-inch pieces and place them cut side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Second Rise: Cover the rolls and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake the Rolls: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare the Icing: Whisk powdered sugar and milk in a separate bowl until smooth and creamy.
