- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice off the top of each bread bowl and scoop out the insides to create a hollow space. Set aside the bread you removed for future use.
- If you prefer, you can lightly toast the bread bowls in the oven for about 5-7 minutes for a crispier texture.
- Spread mayonnaise or mustard inside the bread bowls, depending on your preference.
- Layer the deli meat and cheese inside the bread bowl.
- Add slices of tomato, onion, and a generous amount of lettuce to each sandwich.
- Season with salt and pepper, and drizzle with a bit of olive oil if desired.
- Place the tops of the bread bowls back on, or serve them open-faced if you prefer.
- Serve immediately while the bread is still warm.
Notes
- Feel free to customize the fillings based on your preferences.
- These sandwiches are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time.
