A delicious and easy recipe for Bobby Flay’s Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy, perfect for a comforting meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
- Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth and soy sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
- Feel free to add other vegetables to the gravy.
- This dish can be made ahead and reheated.
