Description

A delicious and easy recipe for Bobby Flay’s Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy, perfect for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and stir to combine. Gradually add beef broth and soy sauce, stirring until the mixture thickens.
  5. Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables to the gravy.
  • This dish can be made ahead and reheated.
